lovely newspaper packages tied up with string, full of vegetables from Julias garden. plus, as Lucie could hardly believe, the biggest leek ever!! it was almost 5 foot tall! vegetable hotpot for tea tonight, yum.
Hannah that's so funny !! I'm glad my leeks caused lots of excitement for Lucie ! It is rather long, they are all like in our vegetable garden this year. I made leek and potatoe soup today which was delicious, creamy and thick. Yesterday the woodcutter did a beef stew with the vegtables.
Hi Hannah, thanks for visiting my blog! I love your squares for your Grandmothers quilt and know just what you mean. I'm the same with crocheting granny squares ... and knitting jumpers...and making a rag rug (7 years on that one and still a WIP!) That's the most amazing leek by the way - hope the casserole was good xx
